Mountain's Height

It's 2030. Someone is resting on a beautiful beach in their sea-side city.

They see their beach towel is wet... "but how? the tide wasn't so far up!"

The thing is...  they slowly do start noticing the tide is rising a tad too fast... and they bolt from there! They go in a frenzy up the closest tall building's stairways... but the water is quickly catching up.

Ripping the access door of the rooftop off its hinges, they notice the water is close to their height already, and promptly use said door to keep themselves afloat...

The old world is now gone. It's now three centuries later.

You are an inhabitant of a village called Mountain's Height... and as you are a naturally curious young person, you decide to find out more about society's past... and about an ominous prophecy the village elder told you.
